traditional wires.
This
wireless transmitter is compatible with
all consumer music players such as MP3, CD, TV as it
connects via the audio mini-stereo jack or RCA left/right
connectors.
Why SoundScape
Bridge?Past
wireless audio solutions have been based on analogue
transmission where cost is low but audio quality and
operating range were poor due to interference.
The latest generation of wireless audio/music solution are digital
transmission in the 2.4GHz and 900MHz bands and offers some
opportunities for error correction. In XentiQ’s proprietary
VConnectTM implementation, the 2.4GHz spectrum is
sub-divided into 38 virtual channels and an intelligent
algorithm continuously hops between the channels to find
channels with the lowest data packet losses.
When an operating channel results in unacceptable packet
loss, that channel is removed from the list of frequency
channels used by the algorithm. The receiver that receives
the digital data does error correction and if necessary,
requests re-transmission from the transmitter unit. This
maintains the integrity of the data stream and results in
robust, interference-free operations. This makes it
suitable even for wireless connection to speakers outdoors.
VConnectTM has more than 4 times the bandwidth of
Bluetooth®
devices. Bluetooth® technology is commonly used for highly
compressed, mono quality audio found in cell phone headset
applications.
